10 Best Animal Attack Videos on Youtube

10 Best Animal Attack Videos on Youtube (Intense & Unique!)

This website is not only about global warming, CO2 emissions and climate change. I also plan to cover a lot of topics related to biodiversity and animals. One of my favorite procrastination actiivities is watching animal videos on Youtube (I know that many people agree with me on this one).

However, there’s one sub category that fascinates me more than anything:

Dramatic and potentially violent animal attack videos. These often includes animal attacks on humans, but can also be a pure animal versus animal video.

10 Best Animal Attack Videos on Youtube

Table of Contents

Before I give you the top ten list, what can we learn from such videos?

1. Which animals that might attack humans in various situations.

2. HOW these animals attack humans. For instance, most people are not aware of how a grizzly bear attacks or what you can do to minimize the risk for being killed.*

3. These videos will also give insight about the whole industry of keeping wild animals in captivity. Loads of animals tend to become more aggressive when they are living in a cage compared to being in the wild. And, frankly, that should not come as a surprise to anyone.

4. For fun. Some people, and I do not say that I am one of them, actually enjoy watching action filled videos on Youtube.

*= If you wonder about that, MNN has created a super useful guide about surviving bear attacks.

Before you see the videos, I just want to explain that I do feel sorry for every victim that is hurt in these videos. This is not an article written to mock someone or to, in any way, claim that animal attacks can be used as entertainment. I write this article for educational purposes.

List: Top 10 Best and Brutal Animal Attack Videos Online (with context)

When applicable, I decided to write a small description/story to some of the videos. That will help you to understand the context of them.

1. Charla Nash being attacked by her pet chimpanzee

In 2009, a woman named Charla Nash was brutually attacked by her friend’s pet chimpanzee. The video below does not show the actual attack, but contains information such as:

– The dramatic 911 phone call that took place during the attack.
– Witness descriptions that will shock you.
– Seeing Charlas’ face after the horrific attack.
– Doctors explaining why she needed a full face transplant and two new hands (!) after the incident.

PS! There are loads of videos about this attack on Youtube, but I chose to feature the one that describes the incident in the best way.

2. Black bear attacks man in the US

This video shows how quickly things can change when you are close to bears in the wildlife. As soon as they see you as some kind of a threat, they will instantly attack you:

Luckily, this guy made it through. Frankly, I am not sure if a weak bow and arrow would be enough to stop these powerful animals.

3. Polar bear attacks BBC Journalist

The most popular “animal attack” videos on Youtube are all featuring bears. With more than 4 million views over the last ten months, this video from BBC is one of the best out there:

As you can see in the video, the polar bear actually understands where it should try to open the “cage”. These animals are super intelligent. This is why a lot of people in Svalbard (Northern Norway) & Churchill (Canada) struggle with polar bears trying to open their house/cabin and get a snack of what’s inside.

4. Tiger kills a visitor of a “Tiger Park” nearby Beijing

Again: this article is written for educational purposes. The video below does feature the actual animal attack, but not the moment where it kills a human being. Watch the video first, and read the description below for more explanation:

In fact, it’s not the woman that is under attack in the video that dies in the end. It’s actually her mum (which steps out of the car at 00:35) that ends her life in a tiger park. This video is a perfect reminder of the hunting skills of these animals…coming in from behind so silently that the person had no chance of escaping.

After the incident, the woman in the video filed a lawsuit against the tiger park because she meant that “the park bore ‘undeniable responsibility’ “. (source: CNN).

5. Tiger snaps on his animal trainer (graphic)

The trainer fights for his life after this brutal accident with a tiger he raised for many years:

6. Orca drags human under water in Seaworld (as seen on “Blackfish”)

People often tend to ignore attacks from sea animals when they hear the expression “animal attacks”. However, orcas and other sea creatures can be just as dangerous. If you ever saw the Netflix documentary “Blackfish”, you are very well aware of this incident:

Luckily, the trainer survived the attack that took place in 2006.

Reactions from the Youtube audience

“Blackfish” became highly popular, and loads of people blamed SeaWorld for putting their trainers in extremely dangerous positions. Therefore, most of the comments below the video on Youtube do express feelings for the whale rather than the SeaWorld staff. Here are a couple of examples:

7. Hammerhead Shark Attacks Kayak Fisherman in California

Imagine this scenario: You are alone in a small kayak having the time of your life. Sunshine. Still water. Everythings’ perfect…only for a deadly hammerhead shark to attack you.

All you can do is to try to fight back and hope for the best.

This is what happened to a gentleman named Mark McCracken from California. Luckily, his GoPro camera was able to film the action:

8.Moose attacks car before attacking its owner (double-attack)

This is probably one of the least dramatic videos as an physical item (a car) is the only thing being hurt. However, I wanted to include it in the list as it shows how aggressive a moose can become:

9. Creep as h….: Thai Grandma attacked in sleep by a HUGE python snake

My only thought after watching this video was: “How can I make sure to never visit the country where this happened?”

South China Morning Post uploaded the video, but specificed in the title that the woman was from Thailand. I am not sure whether or not to stay away from China or Thailand in the future. However, this is one of the scariest animal attacks videos I have ever seen. And trust me: I have seen a lot of them. 🙂

10. Sea lion drags a little girl down in the water

This video was uploaded in 2017, but did not go viral until late 2019. You can see the dramatic incident by yourself:

There were several accusations from people claiming that the family had fed the animal prior to the attack, but this was later denied by the girls’ father.

Bonus animal attack clips: Compilations

I don’t like seeing a long compilation without understanding the context. However, I know that a lot of people are just looking for some action. So I spent about two hours trying to find the best “animal attacks compilation” videos on Youtube, and here they are (top 3):

#1: Cute and funny animal attacks

#2: Alligator attack compilation

#3: Attacks from various zoo animals (funny)

Final thoughts and a scream for help

In my opinon there are two reasons for comment in the comment section below:

1. If you like or dislike any of the content.
2. If you see that some of the videos or link do not longer work.

I would really appreciate if you would let me know if something is wrong. A lot of people tend to use this website (for some weird reason), and I would like to always have my content 100 % updated at any time. 🙂

Thanks in advance!

I don’t think that we should blame on the animals for these attacks. Animal are their name states animals they are just protecting themselves/their area/their young ones or mostly just their nature. But we as human being sensible should avoid becoming too close to their proximity in order for them to attack.

wow, some of these attacks are brutal.

And I agree with the guy above that says NO ANIMAL SHOULD EVER BE BLAMED for attacking humans. We can protect oursleves. And belive me: we do. We put them in cages. We eat them. We kill them.

      Hi Namma. You are right.

Animal attacks on humans often come as a result of us not being able to take care of them in a proper way.
